The overhead line fault locator is suitable for locating 6-35kV overhead line faults, and can solve various fault types such as low resistance faults, high resistance faults, arc ground faults and phase-to-phase short-circuit faults. It provides a complete set of overhead line fault location solutions, integrating four functions: fault diagnosis, AC location, DC location, DC withstand voltage, and AC withstand voltage. The innovative AC positioning mode, for low-resistance faults, detects the characteristic signal directly below the line, without the need to mount the sensor on the pole, with the characteristics of simple operation and convenient use. For high-resistance faults that occur in lines with smart switches installed (with grounded PTs), the AC positioning + booster method is used, and there is no need to remove the PTs. The transmitter has a built-in large-capacity lithium battery, which is easy to use and carry.
The whole set of equipment is mainly composed of transmitter, receiver, AC booster, direct connection sensor, suspension sensor, arc grounding adapter and accessories.
